As the years passed, and we were set up at craft shows, I would walk around and look at different crafts. I found some button barrettes and bought one. The buttons were hot glued on the barrette. The second time I wore it, the buttons popped off. As I was working on my copperwire art, a thought crossed my mind. What if I made button barrettes with copperwire holding the buttons on and hot glue. They would not pop off as you wore them. The copperwire would hold them in place and the hot glue would keep the wire safe from poking you. I started buying buttons and designing them with the copperwire. This idea soon branched out into copperwire button pins, copperwire butterfly pins, and copperwire butterfly barrettes. I have incorporated charms, beads, and other items into the design. I would like to start designing jewelry with copperwire one day. This is a new step for me to adventure out into. I never know how a design turns out, so each of my designs are one of a kind.
